Overview
Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), a global leader in biopharmaceutical innovation, sought to transform their traditional employee benefits seminar into an immersive, interactive digital experience. The goal was to energize internal engagement, simplify complex benefits information, and deliver an accessible platform where employees could explore products and services from anywhere.
Our team developed a 360° interactive content hub—a virtual “showroom” designed as an intuitive, visually rich environment that elevated BMS’s internal communications experience.

Challenge
BMS traditionally hosted in-person employee benefits fairs at key locations. While informative, these events presented challenges in accessibility and engagement—especially for remote and hybrid employees following global workplace shifts. The company needed a centralized digital space that could:
    •    Present benefit options and partner offerings in an engaging, easy-to-understand way
    •    Provide on-demand access for employees across global locations
    •    Showcase the company’s commitment to innovation and employee wellbeing.

The solution had to reflect BMS’s brand integrity while being user-friendly and adaptable to future internal communications campaigns.

Solution
We created a 360° Virtual Event Hub, a web-based, interactive platform that visually replicated a branded exhibition space. The hub served as a dynamic digital destination combining education, exploration, and engagement.

Key features included:
    •    360° Showroom Environment: A fully navigable virtual space built using immersive panoramic design, allowing users to “walk through” themed areas dedicated to medical benefits, wellness programs, financial planning, and more.
    •    Interactive Hotspots: Clickable icons revealed informational pop-ups, videos, and downloadable documents from benefits providers.
    •    Branded Video Integration: Custom welcome messages, executive insights, and explainer clips embedded throughout the space added a human touch and deeper storytelling.
    •    Modular Content Architecture: The backend allowed each department or partner vendor to update materials easily, ensuring content remained current and accurate.
    •    Cross-Platform Compatibility: Optimized for desktop and mobile, ensuring seamless access for all employees—both at headquarters and remote.

Results
The BMS Virtual Benefits Fair achieved outstanding engagement metrics and internal feedback:
    •    Increased Participation: Employee attendance tripled compared to prior in-person fairs.
    •    Higher Retention: Average session durations exceeded 10 minutes, reflecting strong content engagement.
    •    Sustained Value: The platform evolved into an evergreen repository for HR communications and benefits updates, effectively replacing one-time events with a lasting digital destination.

Impact
Beyond its immediate success, the 360° virtual event hub set a new internal standard for how BMS communicates with its workforce—demonstrating that immersive digital solutions can reinforce corporate culture, enhance understanding, and humanize information through design and interactivity.
